COVID-19 RISK ASSESSMENT TEMPLATE FOR THE HAIR INDUSTRY
Risk Assessment: What does it mean for salons and barber shops?
Risk management involves identifying and then assessing what risks can occur in the salon and barber shop and how we will deal with them.
Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, risks to health and safety must be eliminated so far as reasonably practicable. If a risk can’t be eliminated, it must be minimised so far as it is reasonably practicable. “Reasonably practical” means what is or was reasonably able to be done to ensure the health and safety of our team.
Covid-19 cannot (at this stage) be eliminated so our hair industry needs to be doing everything we can, in our salons and barber shops to keep our team, our clients and our whanau safe.
