  • Employers must pay at least the training wage ($16.94 per hour) to anyone 20 years of age or older who undertakes 60 credits per year of industry training. H&BNZ’s recommendation and criteria for Silver accreditation are that a Fair Wage is $18.92 (80% of the Living Wage) to attract people to work in the hair industry, and therefore this rate should be paid to Apprentices. Earn better, learn better & live better.
  • Want to attract creative and passionate stylists/barbers to your team? Show them how you support and encourage their dreams by showcasing their work via competitions. Competition work is incredibly motivating and rewarding. It showcases your talent to the industry and allows you to build relationships outside of the salon. Some examples of competitions are: • Hair Industry competitions (including Instagram) - Wella Trend Vision - Battle of the Barbers - The Industry Awards - H&BNZ Instagram Challenge - Goldwell Colour Zoom - Behind the Chair One Shot Competition • Business Competitions
  • Many businesses support their local community or charities with events and awareness.
